Eight Channel Programmable Pulse Stimulator

Master - 8
Characteristics
- All 8 Channels with repetitive, single and train outputs.
- Monophasic, biphasic, twin and twin-biphasic pulses.
- All channels operate independently or synchronized, to produce complex paradigms.
- Capable to switch between preprogrammed experiments.
- A wide range of time intervals between pulses, from 60 µsec (16.666 PPS) to 3,999 sec (1/3999 PPS).
- Four digits resolutions, for setting all kind of time parameters.
- Allows modification of parameters while stimulating, without stopping the experiment.
- Simple switch-off stimulation, for immediate cut off, when required.
- All channels parameters programmable thru the front panel keys.

- Most channels parameters programmable thru USB interface with any PC, with exception of the output voltage amplitude.
- It includes the Master-8 software, with a powerful scheduler feature to set instructions at different scheduled times.
- The Master-8 software, also included, allows external applications/programs to interface directly with the stimulator (e.g. MATLAB, LABVIEW)

Parameters
Each channel operates within the following ranges:
Parameter | MIN | MAX | |
Number of Pulses per Train | 1 | 59,990 | |
Pulse Duration | 40 microsec. | 3,999 sec | 8 decades |
Delay Time | 100microsec. | 3,999 sec | > 7 decades |
Interval Time (1/rate) | 60 microsec. | 3,999 sec | > 7 decades |
Multilevel Pulses
Three additional outputs deliver combined multilevel pulses:
Parameter | |
Out 2+3 | Bi-level pulses (e.g. +/- pulses). |
Out 6+7+8 | Tri-level pulses. |
Combined Output | up to 7 level pulses. |
Voltage Range
Each channel can deliver output pulses with amplitudes ranging from -10V to +10V and with maximum current of 20mA.
Two Additional Clocks
In addition to its standard 8 channels, Master-8 features 2 internal clocks: The first clock counts the time in seconds up to 24 hours and is used to measure the time elapsed from an event (e.g. the beginning of the experiment). The second clock counts the time in tenths of seconds up to 1 hour and is used to measure intermediate times.
Rack Mounting
Master-8 can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack.
